tensor engineering

Tensor Engineering is the industry-leading structural steel bridge detailing firm providing customers with the expertise and technology to successfully fabricate complex structures with the highest degree of quality and the best delivery schedules in the industry.

Founded in 1958, Tensor Engineering quickly became known for its groundbreaking use of advanced technologies to assist and improve shop drawing production. Tensor’s expertise in using state of the art 3D modeling and parametrics that are tied to a coordinate geometry model make them the industry leader for complex work. Their role as structural dealers makes them uniquely qualified to review details from a constructibility standpoint thereby avoiding costly delays during the construction phase. Tensor has the capability and experience that are essential for success in the fast paced and dynamic workflow environment that is inherent to design build projects.

Over 4,000 bridges have been detailed by dedicated professionals with more than 400 years of combined experience at Tensor Engineering. With a long history of technical innovation and excellence, Tensor Engineering is internationally recognized as the industry leader in steel bridge detailing.

Engineering Services from Design to On-Site Support

Tensor provides a complete scope of services from preparation of shop fabrication drawings to consulting services for designers, contractors, fabricators, erectors and the NSBA.

State-of-the-art hardware and software systems enhanced by proprietary bridge geometry algorithms enable Tensor to precisely calculate and analyze the most complex structures in multiple states from fabrication to final erection.

Tensor’s advanced CAD workstations provide an entirely digital workflow from the beginning design stage to the last CNC file. Records and archives are maintained on the network allowing accurate, up-to-date job status reports and schedule tracking capabilities. Full-time programming and IT personnel are on staff to service the diverse needs of our clients.

Tensor Engineering is a NISD QPP firm. In addition, many of our detailers and checkers have NISD Individual Bridge Detailing Certificates.

Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule

The following link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
